On Friday, the Woodland Management Team were busy working in Old Kay’s Park. We continued to work on clearing up after the winter storms, felling dangerous trunks and clearing low, overhanging branches. In addition. We tidied the remnants of recent emergency tree work creating brash hedges, and slicing logs into components for a new bench construction project.
Many logs were left in the park to be collected by anyone who wishes to use them for projects or to use in log burners, they can be found on the path alongside the eastern boundary.
New volunteers are always welcome.
