Dear All,

We are looking for help with a Village Tidy Up of Greenmount Playground and Village Green in preparation for our Village Party. 

Help is needed to sweep the playground, cut back bushes, trim the willow arch, sweep the Hopscotch area and a general tidy around the village green. 

We will be meeting on Friday 24^th April at the playground at 10am and work until 12 noon. If you can spare an hour, please come along, any help will be much appreciated. Some equipment will be provided but if you have favourite gloves, brush or secateurs please bring them.

Dear All,

I am happy to announce that Greenmount Village Community will be holding a meeting on Wednesday 15th April at Greenmount UR Church at 7pm, to discuss the restoration work planned for Peel Tower. As a community group we are linked with Proffitts CIC and the Heritage Society to promote this very important project.

The presentation will be given by Courtnay Ives who is a Senior Architect from Buttress. Buttress is a leading design studio that provides services including architecture, heritage consultancy, and conservation architecture. Courtnay will tell us about the survey work that the team have been carrying out at Peel Tower, and she will also be able to answer questions about the monument and other interesting heritage projects she’s worked on too.

Dear All,

I would like to make you aware of a generous donation from Cormar Carpets, who provided a large amount of Easter Eggs to be given to the community.

As we had a Tabletop Sale on Easter Saturday, this was an ideal opportunity to hand out eggs to the children who attended and to many of our volunteers.

Other eggs were given to Lisa and AhYee who provide educational workshops at Holly Mount Orchard, including during the Easter holidays. All the children attending also received one of these donated eggs.

Cormar Carpets have also offered to support our Village Party on Monday 4^th May, by providing some Tombola prizes. We thank them for their continued support for Greenmount Village Community.
